Personal Vacations

Image of a large open map with various travel items placed on top of it including a passport, a professional camera, sunglasses, a laptop and an instant print camera. A person that is mostly out of the shot points to a city or town on the map using their right index finger. They are wearing a large wide-brimmed hat, a white long-sleeved t-shirt and a black watch.

Many of us have dreams to see the world and experience new cultures, and some just simply need to take a break from the grad school grind. But with the pressure to devote all of our time and energy to our studies and research, as well as the financial barriers to travelling, it can be difficult to give ourselves permission to take time off for a personal vacation.

This week, join the Stronger Together community to explore how to take a personal vacation (and get your advisor on board!) during graduate school. Note that a personal vacation doesn’t have to require travelling on a plane - you can recreate a destination vacation right at home!
