One in five individuals are battling a mental health issue in the United States (NIMH). Hence, mental health deserves to be a priority of conversation and developing a greater understanding of it is essential. There are several types of disorders that are categorized under mental illness and some of these disorders have similar symptoms.

It’s also important for us to gain awareness of these symptoms to better recognize them in individuals, as they can manifest differently in each person. This awareness can help you learn how to approach an individual who is battling a mental illness.
